# E-signature

> Your client signs and accepts a proposal in one step, and their signature, name and date appear on the document.

<Note>
  E-signature is on the **Agency** plan, for proposals only. On the Free and Pro plans your client sees **Accept proposal** and **Decline** without signing.
</Note>

## How your client signs

<Steps>
  <Step title="Send the proposal">
    Send it by email from Muqtarah, or share its link and change its status to **Sent**. Signing only appears in that status.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Your client clicks Sign & Accept">
    At the end of the proposal page they see "Do you accept this proposal?" with **Decline** and **Sign & Accept**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="They choose how to sign">
    **Draw** with a finger or mouse, **Type** their name, or **Upload image** of their signature (PNG, JPG or a photo from their phone).
  </Step>

  <Step title="They enter their name and confirm">
    They enter the **Signer full name**, then click **Confirm signature & accept**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## After signing

* The proposal's status on your side changes to **Accepted**.
* The document shows "Signed & accepted by" with the signer's name, signature and the date, in the PDF and image too.
* We save the time of signing, the IP address and the device type with the signature, as a record of it.
* A proposal can be signed only once, and the signing buttons go away after that.

<Tip>
  If you need a change after it's signed, create a new proposal and send it, so the proposal your client signed stays as it was.
