# Download and export

> Download your document as a PDF or image on every plan, or export editable Word and Excel files on Pro and Agency.

Click **Download** at the top of the editor. On **Documents** you'll also find **Download PDF** in the actions menu next to each document.

| **PDF** | An A4 file with the exact design of the page your client sees. | Every plan |
| **Image** | A PNG of the whole document, handy for sending in chats. | Every plan |
| **Word** | A file you can edit in Microsoft Word. | Pro and Agency |
| **Excel** | A sheet with live formulas: quantity × price, subtotal, tax and total. | Pro and Agency |

## The PDF

* The first time, click **Make a PDF**, then **Open the PDF** to download or print it.
* If you edit the document after that, click **Update PDF**: the file doesn't update on its own.
* When you send by email from Muqtarah, we attach the latest PDF you made.

<Note>
  On the **Free** plan a small "Created with Muqtarah" line appears at the bottom of the file, as on your client's page. It goes away on Pro and Agency.

## While it's being made

Making the file takes a few seconds. You can click **Cancel** at any time. If your browser blocks the new tab, a "Your file is ready" notice appears with an **Open** button.

## Monthly limits

Making PDFs has a monthly limit: 15 documents on **Free**, 250 on **Pro** and 500 on **Agency**. Image downloads have no limit.
