# Create your account

> Sign up for Muqtarah with your email or Google account, then finish three short steps to set up your account.

Signing up for Muqtarah is free and doesn't need a card.

## Sign up

    Go to [muqtarah.app](https://muqtarah.app/en/signup) and click **Create account**.

  <Step title="Choose how to sign up">
    Click **Continue with Google**, or enter your name, email and a password.

    Your password needs 8 or more characters, with upper and lower case letters, a number and a symbol.

  <Step title="Confirm your email">
    If you signed up with email, we send you a confirmation link. Open it to activate your account, then log in.

## The waitlist

Muqtarah is in beta launch, so new accounts join a waitlist. Your account is saved and ready, and we email you as soon as it's activated. You can check your account status any time by logging in.

## Set up your account in three steps

Once your account is active, you go through three short steps. You can change everything in them later in **Settings**.

    Enter your **Full name** as you want it on your documents, and pick **Your specialty** if you like. Your specialty helps us suggest examples that fit your work.

  <Step title="Your business details">
    Add your **Business name**, **Phone** and **Tax number**. If you leave the business name empty, we use your name. You can skip this step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Financial settings">
    Pick your **Default currency**, and turn on **Tax** if you charge it on your services. We suggest a common rate for your currency (such as 15% for the Saudi riyal), and you can change it.

Click **Get started**, and your account is ready for its first proposal or invoice.

## App language and theme

From your account menu at the top of the page, switch the **Language** between Arabic and English, and the **Theme** between Light, Dark and System.
